The FNR recommendations for revised National Research Priorities have been sent to the Government

In its multi-annual contract with the Government, the FNR has been mandated to review the national research priorities for Luxembourg, in close collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education and Research. This follows a recommendation stated in the 2016 OECD report on the Luxembourg innovation system.

The revision of the national research priorities was conducted with a strong involvement of the national and international research community. The finalised FNR recommendations have now been sent to the Minister of Higher Education and Research.

The Ministry will now enter the next stage and consult with the Government in order to prepare the final choice of the future national research priorities. The final outcome will be published in due time.
