On Wednesday 27 March 2024, the FNR welcomed the Minister for Research and Higher Education, Stéphanie Obertin for a visit at the FNR office in Belval.
During this working visit, the Minister learned about the FNR’s vision, missions and values in the context of the national research and innovation strategy, in the presence of the FNR staff as well as the Chair of the Board, Martine Reicherts. Romain Martin, Government Commissioner and Léon Diederich, Premier Conseiller de Gouvernement were also present.
After a presentation of the FNR’s strategic objectives and activities, Stéphanie Obertin learned about FNR projects and events, the variety of funding schemes and the evaluation process, the Spotlight on Young Researchers campaign, the FNR Awards and the Take Off Science Challenge Show. The visit ended with a demonstration of a scientific experiment by Mr. Science, Joseph Rodesch, in which the minister also joined in.
